Job summary

Avina of Milwaukee is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing functions performed by CNAs. The RN will coordinate care with other disciplines in the facility in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, admissions/discharges, care conference participation, and ensuring excellent resident care through collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current and active license to practice as an RN in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician.
• Review medication orders for completeness and accuracy.
• Transcribe physician orders.
• Document resident information and notify physician/family as needed.
• Assist in Admission/Discharge process.
• Complete accident/incident reports and follow-up investigation.
• Be familiar with care planning and participate in care conferences.
• Develop good working rapport with all disciplines to ensure resident needs are met.
• Deal tactfully with residents, families, staff, visitors and government agencies.
• Participate in continuing education programs.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Overview:

The primary purpose of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to provide quality nursing care to our residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing functions performed by the Certified Nursing Assistants. The Registered Nurse (RN) is also responsible to coordinate all aspects of a resident’s care with other disciplines in the facility. Job duties are in accordance with the current Federal and State regulations that govern the facility.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Duties:
