Job summary

St.-Joseph is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home, one-on-one care to patients in Midland, Texas. The Home Health role emphasizes independent practice within a supportive team, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth.

You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, educate families, and coordinate with a broader healthcare network to ensure the highest quality of home health care for diverse patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s School of Nursing, or vocational nursing program.
• Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Compassionate, friendly demeanor with a patient-first mindset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their homes for personalized, one-on-one care visits
• Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify the physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs of home health patients
• Assess patients’ conditions, chart observations, and perform evaluation tasks including vital signs and medication review
• Administer medications as prescribed by the patient’s physician
• Educate patients and their families on proper home health care strategies and procedures, and make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient’s quality of life
• Provide effective communication to patients, family members, team members, and other healthcare professionals
