Registered Nurse (RN)

At Cedarbrook Senior Living, we work hard every day to find out what “Celebrating Life Every Day!” means to our residents and their families, then we help them achieve these goals. We are seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse (RN) for our Bloomfield Hills community.

Responsibilities:
  • Explain procedures and treatments to residents to gain cooperation, understanding, and alleviate apprehension.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
  • Prepare equipment and assist the Medical Director during examinations and/or treatments of residents.
  • Maintain awareness of the comfort and safety needs of residents.
  • Observe residents, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or Medical Directors of any changes or incidents.
  • Take vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure to monitor residents’ health.
  • Respond appropriately to life-saving situations following nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Document nursing history and physical assessments for assigned residents.
  • Initiate a resident education plan tailored to individual needs, including instruction for residents and their families, as prescribed by physicians and community policies.
  • Make beds, bathe, and feed residents as needed.
  • Participate in department or unit quality improvement activities.
  • Respond to calls from other health center units, providing First Aid, calling emergency services (911), or contacting family members as requested.
Education/Experience:
  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in good standing in the State of Michigan.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience required.
