Sycamore Heights Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. You will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with care teams, and support residents and families in a compassionate environment.

We offer day and night shifts with full-time, part-time, and PRN options. New wage scale, daily pay, tuition reimbursement, and quarterly raises accompany a supportive workplace focused on growth.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Kentucky (or compact state).
• BLS/CPR certification required or in process.
• Experience in long-term care or senior care a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality resident care and support care teams.
• Develop and follow patient care plans with licensed staff.
• Administer medications and document accurately.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage changes in condition.
• Educate residents and families about procedures and care.

RN Core Responsibilities

• Utilizes genuine and positive communication to make each patient feel informed, understood, and special.
• Adherence to standards of business conduct and compliance
• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
• Educates patients on surgical procedures
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.
• Initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients.
• Changes dressings, inserts catheters,and starts IVs
• Prepares equipment and aids the physician during the examination and treatment of the patient
• Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
• Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting

RN Supervisor Requirements

• Current RN license in the state.
• Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification.
• At least one year of RN experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
