Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Manchester Healthcare Center in Los Angeles, CA. As an RN, you will be responsible for providing direct, age-specific care to our residents and supervising the delivery of care by other nursing staff. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the highest level of clinical care, implementing individualized care plans, and promoting a positive and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and administer direct nursing care, evaluating resident needs and providing support and education to staff, residents, and families
Make rounds to ensure proper care and a safe, clean resident environment
Review medical records for accuracy and completeness, and perform other administrative duties as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans and assess resident needs
Provide treatment administration and manage care of technologically dependent residents, including ventilator dependency, ostomies, and enteral feeding tubes
Maintain knowledge of and demonstrate ability to identify therapeutic resident care issues and determine measures to promote, maintain, and/or restore health
Requirements:
Current, valid Registered Nurse licensure to practice in the State of California
Current BCLS certification
At least six months prior RN experience in a general acute care hospital setting, or acquired equivalent competency
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
