Job summary

Manchester Healthcare Center in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct, age-specific care to residents and supervise nursing staff.

The role emphasizes implementing individualized care plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality clinical care. Full-time PM shift 3:00PM-11:00PM; CA RN license and BCLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Registered Nurse licensure to practice in the State of California.
• Current BCLS certification.
• At least six months prior RN experience in a general acute care hospital setting, or acquired equivalent competency.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily understood through verbal communication in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and administer direct nursing care, evaluating resident needs and providing support and education to staff, residents, and families
• Make rounds to ensure proper care and a safe, clean resident environment
• Review medical records for accuracy and completeness, and perform other administrative duties as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans and assess resident needs
• Provide treatment administration and manage care of technologically dependent residents, including ventilator dependency, ostomies, and enteral feeding tubes
• Maintain knowledge of and demonstrate ability to identify therapeutic resident care issues and determine measures to promote, maintain, and/or restore health
