Youth Opportunity is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join Kissimmee Youth Academy in Kissimmee, FL. The role provides compassionate medical care in a residential treatment setting, collaborating with physicians, therapists, and care teams to support youths’ physical and emotional well-being.
The RN will administer medications, monitor vitals, and ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation while upholding safety standards and state regulations.

Youth Opportunity is a nationally recognized leader in residential and behavioral health treatment for at-risk youth. Kissimmee Youth Academy in Kissimmee, Florida, is a secure Youth Academy providing trauma-informed residential care for males ages 14 to 18. The program focuses on mental health and substance abuse treatment, offering a structured environment that combines clinical therapy, education, and enrichment activities. Youth receive individualized treatment based on their needs, participating in individual, group, and family therapy, as well as life skills training, restorative justice practices, victim impact awareness, and pre-vocational preparation. Licensed professionals provide 24/7 care in small group living units, and a licensed dietitian oversees nutritional support to promote stabilization and successful reintegration into the community.
Youth typically remain in care for 3 to 6 months for intensive mental health services (or 30 to 60 days for sub-acute psychiatric treatment), participating in individual, family, and group therapy; social and life skills training; victim-impact awareness; restorative justice programming; and pre-vocational preparation. Programming is designed to support emotional stabilization, family engagement, and successful reintegration into home and community settings.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide compassionate, high-quality medical care to youth in a residential treatment environment. You will collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure each youth receives individualized, holistic care that promotes both physical and emotional well-being.
