Job summary

Maple Health and Rehab in Muhlenberg County is seeking a dedicated RN to join our memory-care focused team. We foster a family-like culture with strong staff support, ongoing development, and recognition to ensure compassionate resident care.

The RN will consult with the healthcare team, administer medications, monitor vitals, manage equipment, assist with procedures, and participate in discharge planning. We offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus and various benefits.

Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors and adjusts equipment used on patients and interprets displays.
• Initiates corrective action when adverse symptoms occur.
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients.
• Performs procedures such as dressing changes, catheter insertions, and starting IVs.
• Participates in discharge planning and ensures timely documentation.

RN Core Responsibilities:

• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.
• Initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients.
• Changes dressings, inserts catheters, and starts IVs
• Prepares equipment and aids the physician during the examination and treatment of a patient
• Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Utilizes time management skills.
• Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
• Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting.

RN Requirements:

• Current RN license in the state
• At least one year of RN experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
