Maple Health and Rehab in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, is seeking a dedicated LPN to join our team. You will provide comprehensive patient care under the direction of registered nurses and collaborate with medical staff to deliver high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state.

Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepares and administers medications and records doses; reports adverse reactions.
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors and adjusts equipment used on patients and records data.
• Initiates corrective action when patients show adverse symptoms.
• Provides bedside care for a wide range of medical patients.
• Responds to life-saving situations following nursing standards and policy.
• Participates in discharge planning.

LPN Core Responsibilities:

• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans

• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.

• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.

• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.

• Initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology

• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients.

• Changes dressings, inserts catheters, and starts IVs

• Prepares equipment and aids the physician during the examination and treatment of a patient

• Responds to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol

• Participates in discharge planning.

• Utilizes time management skills.

• Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.

• Performs other position‑related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting.

LPN Requirements:

• Current LPN license in the state

• At least one year of LPN experience in a long‑term care setting is preferred.
