Job summary

River Oaks Skilled Nursing and Therapy is seeking an RN to join our team in Oklahoma. The RN will administer medications, monitor residents, and update care plans while ensuring high-quality, safe care. Strong communication with families and physicians is essential.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered Oklahoma RN license.
• Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification.
• One year or more of skilled nursing/long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards; keep residents' charts current.
• Observe residents, document significant changes, and notify the care team of condition changes.
• Take vital signs and assess residents’ health, noting deviations.
• Inform families and physicians of changes in behavior, meds, or health conditions.
• Adjust care plans and ADL-related documents as residents’ conditions evolve.

Responsibilities and Purpose

• Obtain and administer prescribed medications and treatment following approved nursing techniques. Ensure residents' chart is current.
• Observe residents and record significant conditions and reactions. Notify appropriate parties of residents' changes in condition and response to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
• Take vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess residents' condition.
• Keep residents' families and physicians informed of any changes in resident behavior, medications, or health conditions.
• Modify residents' care plans, care directives, Activities of Daily Living (ADL), and Aide flow sheets in conjunction with residents' changes in condition.

Required Experience and Education

• Current and unencumbered Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification.
• One (1) or more years of experience in a skilled nursing or Long-term Care environment is preferred.
