Job summary

Aventura at Carriage Inn in Ohio is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a part-time, PRN basis. The RN will oversee daily clinical operations, assess residents, implement care plans, and supervise LPNs and CNAs in a long-term care setting.

The role emphasizes resident well-being, regulatory compliance, and a supportive, compassionate care environment. Relevant RN licensure, ADN/BSN, CPR/BLS, and EMR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• ADN or BSN degree.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience; long-term care or geriatric experience is a plus.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and respond to health status changes.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for side effects.
• Supervise and delegate duties to LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and team members regarding resident care.
• Document care accurately and timely per state and facility requirements.
• Respond to emergencies and medical situations promptly.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and surveys.
• Educate residents and families about care plans and health conditions.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.
• Serve as a role model for professionalism and resident-centered care.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to residents in our long-term care facility. The RN oversees daily clinical operations, assesses resident conditions, implements care plans, and supervises nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAs. This role plays a vital part in promoting resident well-being, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting a compassionate care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and respond to changes in health status.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.

• Supervise and delegate duties to LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.

• Document care accurately and timely in accordance with state, federal, and facility requirements.

• Respond promptly to emergencies and medical situations.

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred.
