Job summary

Birmingham Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking an experienced RN to provide patient-centered care in a skilled nursing setting. You will be the steady hand residents rely on, collaborating with physicians and a cohesive team to ensure top-quality care and accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, care plan updates, medication administration, and leadership of CNAs. CPR and Alabama RN license are required. On-site shifts with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active Alabama RN license required.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical documentation skills.
• Clear communication and calm demeanor on busy days.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents and monitor their status.
• Assess residents, help update care plans, and flag changes early.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct care to residents and keep a close eye on how they're doing.

• Assess residents, help build and update their care plans, and flag changes early.

• Give medications and treatments safely and on time.

• Lead and support your CNAs — you set the pace for the shift.

• Work with physicians and the rest of the team to make the right calls for each resident.

• Keep your documentation accurate and complete.

• Be a calm, clear point of contact for residents and their families.

• Help keep the unit ready for surveys and follow good infection control practices.

What You Bring

• A current, active RN license in Alabama.

• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus, but we'll consider new grads with the right attitude.

• A solid handle on good clinical documentation and resident care standards.

• Patience, clear communication, and the kind of steadiness that holds up on a busy day.

• Current CPR certification.
