Job summary

Birmingham Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking an experienced RN to provide patient-centered care in a skilled nursing setting. You will be the steady hand residents rely on, collaborating with physicians and a cohesive team to ensure top-quality care and accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, care plan updates, medication administration, and leadership of CNAs. CPR and Alabama RN license are required. On-site shifts with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active Alabama RN license required.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical documentation skills.
• Clear communication and calm demeanor on busy days.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents and monitor their status.
• Assess residents, help update care plans, and flag changes early.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and on time.
• Lead and support CNAs and set the pace for the shift.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team on resident decisions.
• Keep documentation accurate and complete.
• Be a calm, clear contact for residents and families.
• Maintain infection control practices and unit readiness for surveys.
