Job summary

IU Health is seeking experienced registered nurses for part-time and full-time opportunities with a $30,000 sign-on bonus. The Riley Cath Lab shift is 8 hours, 3 days per week, Monday through Friday, typically 0700–1530 or 0730–1600, with on-call requirements for weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or an NLC license.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• BLS certification is required; other advanced life support certifications may be required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care to patients in Cath Lab and related units.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Follow IU Health policies, ethics, and regulatory standards.

Riley Cath Lab: 8 hrs a day. 3 days/wk. Monday - Friday. Hours are primarily 0700-1530 or 0730-1600. Requires the ability to take call during the week, weekends, and holidays. ICU experience preferred.

The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
