Overview

Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Nursing Resource Pool. This position is part‑time and will float across multiple medical‑surgical units in Harrisonburg, VA. The work shift is third (night). Sign‑on bonus up to $10,000 with no contract required.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required)
• Registered Nurse license (required)
• Recent or upcoming graduates from RN programs will be considered.
• Previous acute care experience (preferred)
• Strong critical thinking and nursing process skills
• Knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and coordination of care

Duties and Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will provide a competent level of nursing care, applying the nursing process and adhering to standards of practice and professional performance. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of patient care.
• Teaching and health promotion for patients and families.
• Leadership, collaboration, and communication within the interdisciplinary team.
• Evidence‑based practice, quality improvement, and resource utilization.
