Munster Med Inn is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. The RN ensures care complies with state and federal regulations and supports the Director of Nursing in maintaining high-quality care.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily nursing activities, documenting admissions/discharges, transcribing physician orders, administering medications, and safeguarding resident confidentiality.

Formación

• Current unencumbered state RN license.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Familiarity with nursing practices and facility regulations.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift.
• Complete and file required recordkeeping forms/charts upon admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
• Receive and transcribe telephone orders from physicians and record on the Physician’s Order Form.
• Chart nurse notes to reflect care provided and resident response.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information.
• Ensure nursing care is provided in privacy and knock before entering rooms.
