Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Dialysis Staff RN to provide direct patient care in the Inpatient Renal Care Unit. You will deliver nursing care using the nursing process and coordinate with physicians regarding patient status.

You will guide patient education, supervise nursing personnel, and ensure standards of care are maintained. The role requires an active RN license and BLS, with dialysis experience preferred and a commitment to high-quality care.

Qualifications

• RN License required.
• BLS certification required (certificate upon hire).
• Certification in Nephrology Nursing or Apheresis Nursing encouraged.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Dialysis Staff RN is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Inpatient Renal Care Unit. Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Can respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Certification in Nephrology Nursing, Apheresis Nursing or both is highly encouraged.
• Two Years Experience in Acute Care Hemodialysis nursing, preferred.
