Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care within the Rehabilitation Department. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while guiding patient and family teaching. Collaboration with physicians and nursing staff ensures timely responses to changes in condition.

Current state RN license is required, with BLS and ACLS certifications. BSN is preferred to support quality care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• FIM score knowledge and documentation experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and respond to emergencies.
• Support rehabilitation department goals and collaborate with nursing staff.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Rehabilitation Department. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Certified Rehab Registered Nurse (CRRN) or similar certification; preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• FIM score documentation knowledge.
