Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Out Patient Services team on a per diem basis. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia, and uphold hospital standards.

Ideal candidates hold a current state RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with acute care experience preferred. Day shift, per diem employment, commitment to quality care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate required on hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within 30 days of hire.
• Acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Out Patient Services setting.
• Coordinate care with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other team members.
• Ensure adherence to hospital regulations, standards and policies; participate in Performance Improvement activities.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice in the Out Patient Services setting. The Registered Nurse communicates with physicians, / Director of Surgical Services, House Supervisor and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in the patients clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The Registered Nurse is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and/or anesthesiologist, directs and guides and other personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Out Patient Department. Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization. Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures. Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services. Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous acute care hospital experience; preferred.
• Moderate Sedation competency completed within 30 days upon hire.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
