Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Rehab department on a full-time days shift (7:00 am–7:30 pm). The RN will deliver direct patient care, utilize the nursing process, and educate patients and families while maintaining high standards of care in the Physical Rehabilitation Department.

Required: state RN license and BLS; BSN preferred; ACLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current and valid State RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.
• BSN degree preferred.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and supervise/educate patients and families.
• Direct and guide activities of other nursing staff while maintaining standards of care in Rehab.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and protect privacy.

Compensation Range: $35.35 to $53.58

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Physical Rehabilitation Department. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Current and valid State RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (as Applicable, Required)

• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
