WellSpan Health's 16-bay PACU delivers Phase I recovery and supportive Phase II care after anesthesia, working closely with surgeons and anesthesia providers. This role provides professional nursing care in a beginner-practitioner capacity within a dynamic, patient-centered environment.
Position is PRN level 3 (as needed), with department hours Mon-Fri 5:30am–7:00pm and call coverage 7:00pm–7:00am, including weekends. Requires RN licensure and BLS, with limited recent experience acceptable.

Our 16-bay PACU specializes in the recovery of surgical patients following anesthesia, providing expert Phase I recovery and often Phase II care. Team members collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and inpatient units to deliver exceptional patient-centered care in a dynamic environment. In addition to postoperative recovery, the PACU cares for patients undergoing procedures that require anesthesia or sedation, ensuring safe monitoring and recovery across a broad range of patient populations and procedural settings.
Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level within an assigned unit according to established procedures, protocols and regulations. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
