St. Luke’s Cancer Institute in Meridian seeks a Radiation Oncology Triage RN. You will triage calls, assess patients of all ages undergoing treatment, and integrate clinical knowledge with compassionate care to support patients and families.

The role offers full-time hours (0.9 FTE, four 9-hour shifts), certification pay possible, and opportunities to cross-train to Radiation Oncology nursing, with strong emphasis on patient-centered care in a state-of-the-art clinic.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Our St. Luke’s Cancer Institute (SLCI) clinics are dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. St. Luke’s holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program’s commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care.

What You Can Expect:

• Full-time (0.9 FTE): day shift - no nights or weekends!
• Schedule: 4 days a week x 9-hour shifts
• Meridian SLCI
• Certification pay available (ex. OCN)
• Radiation Oncology Triage RN:utilize strong critical thinking and assessment skills to triage calls and evaluate patients of all ages undergoing treatment
• Promote a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness while integrating technical skills, scientific knowledge, and a caring attitude both in the clinic and through the triage process to aid those living with cancer and their families
• Cross train to Radiation Oncology primary nursing
• Assist in monitoring and caring for CT simulation and radiation procedure patients

Qualifications:

• Education: Nursing Degree
• Experience: One (1) + years’ RN experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute
• Preferred: Radiation Oncology/Oncology experience, OCN certification and/or strong assessment skills
