Job summary

Care New England’s Butler Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in a psychiatric and medical setting in Providence, RI. The role emphasizes adherence to ANA standards and hospital policies to ensure safe, evidence-based care.

The ideal candidate will graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold a Rhode Island nursing license, and preferably possess a BSN. The position includes responsibilities as Charge Nurse on shift and active collaboration with the care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Rhode Island nursing license.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
