Job summary

DESC in Seattle, WA is seeking a Per Diem Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team. This part-time, temporary role supports crisis solutions and housing-focused services, with shifts that are often day shifts and weekends as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold WA licensure as a Psychiatric ARNP (PMHNP-BC), DEA registration, and at least 1 year of psychiatric NP experience, with strong skills in prescribing medications and coordinating care within a

Qualifications

• WA State DOH license as a Psychiatric ARNP with prescriptive authority.
• Master's degree in Nursing, Psychiatric.
• PMHNP-BC board certification.
• DEA registration.
• Experience prescribing psychiatric medications.
• Pass Washington background check.
• Harm reduction knowledge and strategies.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary staff.
• Communicate with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate client care within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.
• Perform psychiatric evaluations and treatment planning; prescribe and monitor meds, including OUD treatment.
• Evaluate crisis cases and advise longitudinal care plans.
• Participate in clinical reviews and case conferences.
• Engage in verbal de-escalation and support safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
