Summary

This Registered Nurse - Reusable Medical Device Program Manager/Coordinator position is located within the Sterile Processing Service Line of the VA Boston Healthcare System, West Roxbury location. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE)
• Or enrolled in a master's level nursing bridge program with equivalent coursework
• Or foreign nursing graduates with current unrestricted registration
• Current active and unrestricted nursing license in a US state, territory, or DC
• Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception available if licensure is pursued

• Preferred experience: 3+ years in surgical instrumentation and operating room
• Physical requirements: Ability to perform duties; pre-placement physical required

Duties

• Monitor quality assurance in sterilization processes
• Ensure compliance with national standards
• Coordinate with hospital staff on RME/RMD
• Manage safety alerts, recalls, inspections, and documentation
• Participate in SOP creation and review
• Act as liaison for vendor activities and collaborate with operating room staff
• Manage special orders and ensure proper delivery
• Perform other duties as assigned
