Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Registered Nurse for NICU who provides professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process, with a focus on neonatal care. The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas license or eligibility, BLS and NRP certification, and at least 1 year of NICU RN experience.

The schedule includes 7A-7P or 7P-7A, with weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: at least 1 year of NICU RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment and effective teamwork.
• Communicate with the team, patients and families; ensure complete, accurate documentation.
• Administer medications and IV therapy; maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Contribute to ongoing professional growth and development; perform other duties as assigned.
