Job summary

Methodist Health System in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-level NICU care. You will perform direct and indirect nursing tasks, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas license or eligibility, BLS and NRP certifications, and at least 1 year of NICU RN experience. Hours are 7A-7P or 7P-7A, with weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.
• Current Texas nursing license or eligibility to practice.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
• Communicates with the team, patients and families, and documents information timely.
• Provides safe, therapeutic patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Maintains a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Administers medications, including IV therapy, with accuracy and safety.
• Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development.
