Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX, seeks a Registered Nurse with NICU experience to provide high-level nursing care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients, supporting the mission and values of Methodist Health System.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current BLS and NRP certifications, Texas RN license or eligibility, and at least 1 year of NICU RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP).
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication, interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational process.
• Communicates with team, coworkers, patients, and family members and ensures understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Delivers safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Takes personal responsibility for performance and professional growth.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
