Job summary

Douglasvascular is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Douglas Vascular OBL on a PRN basis. This role emphasizes high-quality outpatient care in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting. The ideal candidate will have vascular experience, BLS certification, and strong communication and organizational skills. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to educate patients and ensure effective care plans.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in a vascular outpatient or similar setting is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in an outpatient setting following established protocols.
• Assess patients, document histories, and tailor care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments with monitoring for reactions.
• Collaborate with physicians, NPs, and staff to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, plans, and prevention.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with regulations.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting, ensuring all treatments are performed in accordance with established protocols and policies.
• Conduct patient assessments, document medical histories, and develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring for patient reactions and side effects.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and administrative staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

What we want to see from you:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
