Humble Vascular Surgery Center in Humble, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN coverage to support pre, intra, and post vascular procedures. Responsibilities include vital signs, cardiac monitoring, data collection, and assisting physicians during procedures with conscious sedation.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, CPR and ACLS, and at least 2 years of critical care experience (ICU/ER/Cath Lab/PACU/OR). Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current RN License.
• CPR certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years critical care clinical practice in ICU/ER/Cath Lab/PACU/OR or Interventional Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care pre, intra, and post vascular procedures on a PRN basis.
• Obtain clinical data including physical assessments and vital signs; perform direct patient care.
• Monitor cardiac status and interpret EKGs; assist physicians during procedures.

JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

This purpose of this position is to provide clinical patient care pre, intra, and post vascular procedure on a PRN basis. The Registered Nurse is responsible for obtaining clinical data including physical assessment, performing direct patient care inclusive of vital sign and cardiac monitoring, and documentation. The RN assists the physicians in performing special procedures while closely monitoring the cardiac and physical status of the patient under his care. The patients receive conscious sedation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current RN License.
• CPR required.
• ACLS required.
• Minimum of 2 years critical care clinical practice in areas such as ICU, ER, Cath Lab, PACU, OR or Interventional Radiology
• Must be confident and comfortable with interpreting EKGs and responding appropriately to rhythm changes.

We are in need of candidates who can work 1-2 days/week. 7:45am-6:30pm
