Job summary

Qualifications

• Current LPN/RN license in the state
• At least one year of LPN/RN experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred

Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepares and administers medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV) and records prescribed treatments; reports adverse reactions.
• Educates patients on surgical procedures and records vital signs.
• Monitors equipment and interprets electronic displays; initiates corrective action as needed.
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients and assists with discharge planning.
• Changes dressings, inserts catheters, starts IVs, and aids physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Responds to life-saving situations according to nursing standards and protocol.
