Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. in Woods Cross, UT is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) for 8‑hour shifts (6:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00, 22:00–06:00).

Salary ranges from $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, with shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends, and no benefits package. You will perform assessments, administer medications, monitor residents, provide health education, respond to emergencies, and lead the unit to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment within a specialized adolescent

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Utah or authorized to practice in Utah.
• Prefer one year of experience, but open to new graduates.
• Strong work ethic, reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and plan of care for assigned patients with individualized nursing care.
• Administer medications as assigned and educate residents on their uses.
• Check medication orders, dosage, side effects, and document accordingly.
• Respond to residents' medical needs and provide health care teaching.
• Be proactive in identifying potential crises and respond appropriately.
• Act as a leader on the unit to maintain safety and a therapeutic environment.

Status: PRN (8 hr shifts) - 6:00am-2:00pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm or 10:00pm - 6:00am - NO benefits package

Your role & responsibilities include:

• Completing assessments and plan of care on assigned patients and provides individualized nursing care
• Administers medications as assigned and serves as a resource for knowledge of medication uses; including educating residents about their medications
• Check for proper medication orders, dosage, side effects and documents medications according to policy
• Respond to and assesses resident's medical needs and promotes and provides health care teaching to residents
• Be proactive in identifying potential crisis situations and responding appropriately
• Function as a leader on the unit to ensure the unit is operating in a safe and therapeutic manner

Qualifications

Your Qualifications include:

• Licensed as a RN in the State of Utah or authorization to practice in Utah
• Prefer one year of experience, BUT are willing to consider the right new graduate
• Possess a strong work ethic, responsible attendance and punctuality
• Must be capable of passing a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen
