Job summary

Twelve Oaks Recovery Center in Navarre Beach, Florida, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join the clinical team for overnight coverage on a 12-hour shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

You will assess patients, develop nursing plans, administer medications, monitor status, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a behavioral health and substance use treatment setting.

Qualifications

• Current RN license (or eligibility) in the state of employment.
• At least one year of nursing experience; behavioral health/substance use preferred.
• Current CPR certification; willing to complete de-escalation and restraint training.
• First Aid certification as required by state or facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ behavioral and physical health needs and deliver compassionate, trauma‑informed nursing care.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing treatment plans throughout the continuum of care.
• Safely administer medications, including behavioral health and detox protocols, with accurate documentation and controlled substance tracking.
• Monitor patient status on an ongoing basis and communicate significant behavioral or medical changes to providers and the care team.
• Educate patients and families, maintain compliant medical records, and adhere to nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Establish therapeutic, professional relationships while collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient recovery.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current, unrestricted RN license (or eligibility to practice) in the state of employment.
• At least one year of nursing experience; behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance use treatment experience strongly preferred.
• Current CPR certification and willingness to complete de‑escalation and restraint training (provided upon hire, if needed).
• First Aid certification, as required by state or facility guidelines.
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to documentation, and the ability to remain calm and therapeutic in behavioral health settings.
