Job summary

Senior Helpers Southern Maryland is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate home care across Southern Prince George’s and Northern Charles Counties, MD. The role offers flexible shifts and meaningful, community-based work for a dedicated nurse.

You’ll conduct client assessments, develop care plans, mentor caregivers, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to uphold high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in MD or a compact state.
• 1 year of long-term care experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel throughout the service area.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client intake assessments and ongoing reassessments
• Develop, update, and monitor individualized care plans
• Oversee care management for both clients and caregivers
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance care practices
• Mentor and train caregivers, supporting their professional growth
• Lead and assist with Caregiver Skills Training Evolutions
• Promote client safety and respond promptly to concerns
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation for all client interactions

Accokeek, Brandywine, Cheltenham, Clinton, District Heights, Ft. Washington, La Plata, Oxon Hill, Suitland, Temple Hills, Waldorf, White Plains

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state
• At least 1 year of long-term care experience preferred (motivated new grads and retired RNs welcome!)
• Strong commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and client dignity
• Willingness to travel throughout our service area
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Positive, collaborative attitude and the ability to work independently
