Job summary

Senior Helpers Southern Maryland is seeking a dependable and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN to support our home care team across Southern Prince George’s and Northern Charles Counties, MD. You will conduct client assessments, develop care plans, provide clinical oversight, train caregivers, and document accurately while traveling within the service area to ensure safe, high-quality home care.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or an applicable compact state.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred; new grads and retired RNs welcome.
• Home care, senior care, long-term care, or community-based nursing experience is a plus.
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a home care setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial client assessments and ongoing reassessments in clients' homes.
• Develop, review, and update individualized plans of care.
• Evaluate clients' needs and identify changes requiring updates to services.
• Provide clinical oversight and guidance related to client care.
• Support and train caregivers on appropriate care techniques and client-specific needs.
• Conduct or assist with caregiver skills training and competency assessments.
• Communicate with clients, families, caregivers, and the office team regarding care needs and concerns.
• Help address changes in condition, safety concerns, and other clinical issues.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency requirements.
• Support compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and home care regulations.

Senior Helpers Southern Maryland is seeking a dependable and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN to support our growing home care team. This flexible opportunity is ideal for an RN looking for supplemental hours while making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors receiving care in their homes.

This role focuses on client assessments, care planning, caregiver oversight and training, and ongoing clinical support to help ensure safe, high-quality care.

What You’ll Do

Accokeek, Brandywine, Cheltenham, Clinton, District Heights, Fort Washington, La Plata, Oxon Hill, Suitland, Temple Hills, Waldorf, White Plains, and surrounding communities.
