Job summary

Shrewsbury Surgery Center in Missouri is hiring a full-time PreOP/PACU Registered Nurse. The PACU RN delivers continuous, high-quality care to patients transitioning from anesthesia, coordinating safety, comfort and privacy.

You may assist surgeons in the procedure rooms and perform conscious sedation tasks with sterile technique. Qualifications include an accredited RN education, active state RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS as required), and 2 years in PACU or critical care preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide total care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate for discharge.

PreOP/PACU Registered Nurse at Shrewsbury Surgery Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Pay Range: $39.93/hr - $59.90/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
