Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Phase 2 Recovery unit at Baptist Clay. This full-time day shift (8:00 AM–6:30 PM) requires a 40-hour workweek with a 40-minute call response time.

Responsibilities include nursing process, coordination with care teams, and patient/family education; 2–3 years in Surgical Services and Critical Care are preferred; AS nursing degree required, BSN preferred; BLS required; RN license required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years Surgical Services experience.
• 2–3 years Critical Care Nursing experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse required; BLS required; CMSRN preferred

• Providing for patient needs using the nursing process and coordinating care with ancillary services.
• Supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination with other services.
• Involving patients and families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Education of patients and families about their disease process and plan of care.
• Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case; anticipate patient care needs.
• This position requires call rotation.

Baptist Health is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Phase 2 Recovery unit at our Baptist Clay location. This is a Full-time Day 8:00 AM-6:30 PM position, 40 hours per week. This Registered Nurse position has a call requirement, and it is self-scheduled based on department needs and will require a 40-minute call response time. This role qualifies for competitive differentials and additional call compensation.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the recovery services unit your responsibilities will include:

• Providing for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement organization.
• Supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
• Including patients and significant other (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
• Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case.
• This position requires call rotation.

Registered Nurse, Pre-Op/Phase II Recovery Services Experience

• 2-3 years Surgical Services Experience
• 2-3 years Critical Care Nursing Experience

• Associate of Science in Nursing required
• Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS) preferred
