Job summary

Compass Surgical Partners’ Baystate New England Orthopedic Surgery Center in Springfield, MA, seeks an RN to support pre-op, PACU and stepdown care. You will assess patients, deliver individualized nursing care, monitor recovery, and collaborate with the surgical team for safe procedures and optimal outcomes.

Hours are Monday–Friday, with PRN coverage. Must have RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and 1 year of pre-op/PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license (unencumbered).
• Current BLS; ACLS required within 6 months.
• Experience in pre-op/PACU environment, 1 year minimum.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery.
• Document accurately and communicate with team members and patients.
• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols.
• Support patient education and post-op instructions.

Role Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.

Monday- Friday; PRN

Compensation:
The actual hourly rate offered will be based on experience, education, and relevant background.
