Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree is required.
• Current and valid RN licensure through KS or NLC multistate license.
• Current and valid Basic or Advanced Life Support certification (ARC BLS, AHA BLS, or ARC ALS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process.
• Assess patient needs and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Prepare patients for surgical and procedural care in pre-operative and ambulatory settings.
• Maintain compliance with professional nursing standards, organizational policies, and state regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to promote safe, high-quality patient care.
• Participate in scheduled surgery, PACU, and ambulatory call shifts.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (Pre-Op) provides high-quality,patient-centered nursing care in ambulatory and surgical pre-operativesettings. This role is responsible for assessing patients, developing andimplementing individualized plans of care, and evaluating patient outcomeswhile maintaining compliance with professional nursing standards and applicablestate regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule & Call Requirements

The position includes a structured call rotation acrosssurgery, PACU, and ambulatory services:

• SurgeryCall: Two weeknights, one Friday, and two 24-hour weekend shifts everyfour weeks.
• PACUCall: One weeknight, one Friday night, and two weekend shifts permonth.
• AmbulatoryCall: One Friday night and two weekend shifts per month.
