Job summary

CentraCare Health in St. Cloud Hospital is seeking registered nurses for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will care for patients before and after surgery, collaborate with surgical teams, and monitor patient status as they wake from anesthesia.

The role includes day/evening shifts, part-time schedule, and potential weekend coverage. Qualifications include MN RN licensure, BSN within 3 years, BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 12 months. Prior ICU/CCU/PACU experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program and current RN licensure in MN required.
• BSN required within three years of hire.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 12 months of hire.
• ICU/CCU or PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in PACU for patients of all ages before and after surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure patient stability post-anesthesia.
• Work in fast-paced environment with flexible shifts and coverage as needed.

Job description

In the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at the St. Cloud Hospital, you will work with patients of all ages before and after surgeries. RNs may work in the pre-op area ensuring a patient is prepped for surgery and safe to go to the operating room. After surgery, the RN will work with surgeons and anesthesiologists as the patient wakes up to ensure they are stable before being discharged or brought back to their hospital room. In this fast-paced environment you will need to think on your feet along with being flexible and adaptable.

Schedule

• Part-time | 48 hours every two weeks | St. Cloud Hospital
• Monday- Friday | Day/evenings | 8-and 12-hr shifts | Various start times throughout the day | approximately every 8th weekend
• approximately 2 holidays per year
• Occasional night call

Pay and Benefits

• Pay based on experience and degree
  • Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $44.57 per hour
  • Bachelor’s in nursing starting at $46.11 per hour
  • Master’s in nursing starting at $47.65 per hour
  • Pay range: $44.57 - $74.37 per hour

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program and current RN licensure in MN required
• BSN required within three years of hire
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 12 months of hire
• Previous experience in ICU, CCU, or PACU settings preferred
• Critical care experience in Hemodynamic monitoring and Basic EKG interpretation preferred

To be eligible for the hiring bonus, you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previousemployees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.

To be eligible for the relocation assistance, you must accept a full time or part time benefited position and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. You must currently reside more than 50 miles away fromthe St. Cloud Hospital andrelocate to within 30 miles of it with 120 days of employment.
