Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse Pool to provide expert nursing care across units, utilizing the nursing process, advocating for patients, and contributing to professional development. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement in care delivery.

The position requires an ADN with BSN preferred, Georgia RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS for specific areas, with PRN shifts and variable hours to support staffing needs across units.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience required.
• Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) health care provider card required.
• ACLS certification required for Critical Care areas and selected units (ECC, GI/Cath, L&D, Intermediate Care, PACU) within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient/family health or the situation.
• Provides clinical leadership for staff, upholding mission, values, and goals; follows evidence-based practices.
• Identifies expected outcomes and evaluates progress toward them.
• Analyzes data to determine nursing diagnoses; develops an individualized plan of care and coordinates delivery.
• Executes the care plan with compassion and advocacy for patient/family.
• Provides education to patients, families, and other health care providers.
• Leads continuous improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Performs additional duties as assigned from leadership.
