MEDIKO is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care at Roanoke City Adult Detention Center. This role conducts health assessments, administers medications and treatments, and responds to medical emergencies, supporting delivery of high-quality healthcare to underserved populations.

Qualifications include active RN license in VA, nursing degree, 1-3 years’ experience preferred, and CPR/BLS certification.

Competenze

• Current, active, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1-3 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in correctional healthcare, behavioral health, emergency services, hospital, long-term care, or other clinical settings preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross approved).
