MEDIKO is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver direct patient care at the Roanoke City Adult Detention Center. You will conduct health assessments, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and support safe, high-quality healthcare for underserved populations.

The ideal candidate has an active RN license, 1–3 years of nursing experience, and CPR/BLS certification. The role requires strong assessment, documentation, and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.

Competenze

• Current, active, unrestricted RN license in applicable state
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• 1-3 years nursing experience preferred
• Experience in correctional healthcare or related clinical settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Current CPR/BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross approved)

Salary: $41-51/hr (experience-based) | Full-Time | AM Shift

MEDIKO is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care at Roanoke City Adult Detention Center. This role is responsible for conducting health assessments, administering medications and treatments, responding to medical emergencies, and supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare services. The ideal candidate is a clinically skilled nursing professional who thrives in a structured environment and is committed to improving the health and well-being of underserved populations.

Qualifications

• Current, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• 1-3 years of nursing experience preferred
• Experience in correctional healthcare, behavioral health, emergency services, hospital, long-term care, or other clinical settings preferred

• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and healthcare regulations
• Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, organized healthcare environment
• Assist in mentoring and guiding nursing staff while promoting best clinical practices
