Job summary

CentraCare Health is seeking Registered Nurses for the Ambulatory Surgery Center at CentraCare Plaza in Saint Cloud, MN. The role involves perioperative collaboration with physicians, CRNAs, and surgical staff to deliver high-quality care before, during, and after surgery.

Wage ranges from $44.57 to $74.37 per hour, with casual shifts at least every two weeks and multiple 8–10 hour shift options between 6am and 7pm. Minnesota RN licensure, ACLS, and PALS are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program, Bachelor’s or Master’s in nursing preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing and assessing patients’ physical, psychosocial and holistic needs to plan, implement and evaluate patient-focused care.
• Reviewing surgeons’ pre-requisites and test results, communicating abnormalities to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborating and coordinating care with the health care team to promote quality outcomes.
• Utilizing nursing processes to identify patient needs, including education and care planning.
• Adapt calmly to unexpected events such as emergencies and changes in condition.

As a member of the perioperative team, you will collaborate with Physicians, CRNAs, Surgical Technologists and other professionals to deliver high-quality care before, during and after surgery.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing and assessing patients’ physical, psychosocial and holistic needs to plan, implement and evaluate patient-focused care.
• Reviewing surgeons’ pre-requisites and test results, communicating abnormalities and/or omissions to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborating and coordinating care with other health care team members to promote quality outcomes.
• Utilizing nursing processes to identify individual patient needs, including education and care planning.
• Adapting calmly to unexpected events such as emergency surgeries, changes in patient condition or equipment issues.
• Ensuring accurate and complete perioperative documentation in alignment with Perioperative Outcomes Standards.
  

Schedule

• Casual | minimum one shift every two weeks | Plaza Surgery Center
• Monday – Friday | Various 8 – 10-hour shifts between 6am – 7pm

Pay and Benefits

• Pay based on experience and degree
  • Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $44.57 per hour
  • Bachelor’s in nursing starting at $46.11 per hour
  • Master’s in nursing starting at $47.65 per hour
    • Pay range: $44.57 - $74.37 per hour

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program, Bachelor’s or Master’s in nursing preferred
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in nursing required within 3 years of hire
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Knowledge of nursing standards, policies, procedures, and ethics
• National Certification in a Nursing Specialty preferred
• Previous experience in perioperative or surgical departments preferred
