Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Inpatient Rehab RN at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. You will specialize in caring for patients recovering from strokes, injuries, or surgeries requiring rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities include direct care, monitoring, ADL assistance, teaching device use, and discharge planning. Requires RN license, BLS, ACLS entro; BSN preferred; sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate on hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire; preferred.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients recovering from medical conditions.
• Monitor patients, vital signs, rehab responses; manage meds, IVs, wound care.
• Assist with exercises, mobility, ADLs with PT/OT teams.
• Teach use of assistive devices (walkers, prosthetics, wheelchairs).
• Educate patients/families on rehab goals and care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning for safe home transition.

We are seeking an Inpatient Rehab RN,sometimes referred to as an Physical Rehabilitation Registered Nurseor Physical Rehab RN.APhysical RehabilitationNursein our hospital will specialize in caring for patients recovering from acute or chronic illnesses, injuries, or surgeries that require rehabilitation services. These nurses help patients regain independence, improve their physical and functional abilities, and adapt to new health circumstances.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Provide direct care to patients recovering from medical conditions such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, orthopedic surgeries, amputations, chronicdiseasesor other conditions

• Monitor patients’ medical status, vital signs, responses to rehabilitation therapies; along with administration of medications, manage IVs, and provide wound care as needed

• Assistpatients with exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and eating, in coordination with physical therapists and occupational therapists

• Teach patients to use assistive devices, such as walkers, prosthetics, or wheelchairs

• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and long-term care strategies

• Participate in discharge planning, ensuring that patients are prepared for a safe transition to home or another care setting

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
