Position Overview

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures the implementation of solutions.
• Position involves rotating between Pre-op and PACU.
• Shift hours: 5:30 am - 4:00 pm and 9:00 am - 7:30 pm.
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call obligations are required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical skills necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• 1 year of experience in ED, ICU, or an acute care setting preferred.
• Previous PACU experience is preferred.
