Job summary

Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a PCU Registered Nurse (RN) for acute-care hospital settings. You will assess and monitor patients, manage cardiac rhythms, administer therapies, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities include documentation, infection control, and educating patients and families on discharge plans. Licensure as a Virginia RN and BLS/ACLS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing in past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role: PCU Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings, including assessing and monitoring patient conditions, managing cardiac rhythms, administering medications and therapies, collaborating with healthcare teams, maintaining accurate medical records, following infection-control protocols, and educating patients and families on care and discharge plans.

Qualifications & Skills

• Active Virginia RN license
• Minimum of 2 years recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
• Additional credentials as required by facilities
