Job summary

National Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a Per Diem Pre-op/PACU RN to join our surgery center in Pascagoula, MS. The role offers flexible daytime hours, Monday–Friday with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.

Pre-op/PACU experience is highly preferred. The RN will assess patients pre- and post-operatively, interpret monitors, and evaluate recovery progress using standard scoring criteria.

Qualifications

• Valid FL Registered Nurse license, or Compact State license.
• Current BLS and ACLS (or able to obtain ACLS within 30 days).
• Knowledge of EMR systems and technologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, with resourcefulness and proactivity.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors accurately.
• Evaluate progress toward discharge criteria using scoring systems (e.g., Aldrete Score).

• Schedule: as needed Monday - Friday (no weekends, holidays, or on-call)
• Hours: days, flexible
• Pre-op/PACU experience highly preferred

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL

• Assess patient's preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to facility or health care organization policies and procedures.
• Interpret information accurately from various noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Evaluate the patient's progress toward attaining outcomes utilizing relevant scoring systems/discharge criteria (e.g. Aldrete Score, Post Anesthesia Discharge Scoring System) as defined by organizational policy.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS

• A valid FL Registered Nurse license, or Compact State license.
