Job summary

National Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a Per Diem Pre-op/PACU RN to join our team at the Lady Lake surgery center. Schedule is as-needed, Monday–Friday, with days, flexible hours, and no weekends or on-call requirements.

Responsibilities include assessing preoperative and postoperative status, interpreting monitors, and evaluating progress using standard scoring systems, with emphasis on patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Valid FL Registered Nurse license or Compact State license.
• Current BLS and ACLS (or ACLS obtainable within 30 days).
• Knowledge of EMR systems and technologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Job description

National Spine & Pain Centers is seeking aPer Diem Pre-op/PACU RN to join our team of highly trained, caring professionals at our surgery center in Lady Lake.

• Schedule: as needed Monday – Friday (no weekends, holidays, or on-call)
• Hours: days, flexible
• Pre-op/PACU experience highly preferred

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:

• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to facility or health care organization policies and procedures.
• Interpret information accurately from various noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Evaluate the patient’s progress toward attaining outcomes utilizing relevant scoring systems/discharge criteria (e.g. Aldrete Score, Post Anesthesia Discharge Scoring System) as defined by organizational policy.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• A valid FL Registered Nurse license, or Compact State license.
• Current BLS and ACLS (or able to obtain ACLS within 30 days of employment)
• Knowledge of EMR systems and technologies
• The capacity to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.
