Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) in California to perform comprehensive patient and family assessments, develop and revise plans of care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. The role requires flexibility, hospice philosophy understanding, and travel within the Bristol Hospice service area.

Applicants should hold an active RN license in the state and demonstrate strong nursing skills, patient advocacy, and the ability to teach patients and families

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in the state.
• Competence in comprehensive nursing assessments and care planning.
• Experience with hospice principles and family-centered care a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing assessments of patient and family to determine hospice needs.
• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process.
• Develop and revise the plan of care with patient and family input.
• Communicate with physicians and obtain orders as required.
• Educate patient and family on self-care techniques.
